Optima Batteries Returns to SEMA Show with Live Racing and More

OPTIMA Batteries, a leading brand of Clarios, is returning to the 2023 SEMA Show for the third consecutive year with OPTIMA Unleashed. Located in the Bronze Lot outside the Las Vegas Convention Center, the week-long activation features the debut of OPTIMA’s all-new lithium batteries for RV and marine applications, live racing, Red Bull freestyle rider Aaron Colton as well as drifting from the sport’s top stars.

OPTIMA’s new ORANGETOP with HYPERCORE LITHIUM battery and new line of performance maintainers will be introduced during a press conference at 9:30 a.m. PT on Thursday, Nov. 2, at OPTIMA’s newly branded trailer in the Bronze Lot. Designed for use in RV and marine applications, the new batteries will be available in two different options and come with both Bluetooth functionality and NMEA 2000 connections for marine applications. The deep-cycle version offers 1,920-watt hours while the starter version has 1,536-watt hours. They bring lithium’s weight-saving and power advantages combined with the high quality, safety and engineering excellence OPTIMA is known for.

In conjunction with its new ORANGETOP lithium batteries, OPTIMA is introducing three new performance maintainers and battery chargers with capacities of 2, 4 and 12 amps capable of supporting OPTIMA LiFePO4, AGM and flooded batteries. All three sizes have built-in functionalities to make the battery maintenance process simple and safe with spark-free connections as well as reverse polarity and over-temperature protection.

Throughout the week, stunt riders Aaron Colton and C-Bear will add a new dimension of excitement to OPTIMA Unleashed while sporting new ORANGETOP powersport batteries. Additionally, an esteemed group of drivers will showcase live drifting and driving exhibitions. New to the crew this year, Justin Pawlak will demonstrate his exceptional drifting skills in his Formula Drift Mustang.

For the third consecutive year at the SEMA Show, dozens of meticulously crafted high-performance classic and modern cars, fresh from the OPTIMA Ultimate Street Car Invitational (OUSCI), will go head-to-head in live autocross racing. The competition unfolds at the SEMA Show from Wednesday to Friday, setting the stage for the grand finale on Saturday at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where competitors and their remarkable vehicles will battle to be crowned as OPTIMA’s Ultimate Street Car.
